Welcome to the St. Mary of the Woods Athletic Program. We value the time and energy you devote to coaching the school children of St. Mary of the Woods. The following information will assist you in your coaching endeavors. We ask all coaches to review the City Suburban Catholic Conference rules. The rules change from grade to grade and you must be aware of the changes. www.citysuburbanleague.org

In addition, coaches must review the St. Mary of the Woods Athletic policy as stated in the SMOW handbook. Again, there is certain information that each coach must be familiar with to ensure a successful season. www.smowschool.org

Our core values are equal playing time in 5th and 6th grade, and fair playing time in 7th and 8th grade. At the start of each season coaches schedule a mandatory parent meeting to update parents on expectations of the student-athlete, as well as ask for help with the concession stand and anything else you may need.

The volunteer Athletic Board is available to assist the Athletic Director in any way to ensure the children have a safe and successful season. If you have any specific questions or concerns regarding our Athletic Program, you may attend any of our Athletic Board meetings. Please contact Jon LeBaron or Mike Hoffman directly for details.
